Module Description:Provides a foundation for understanding contemporary supply chains and their role in achieving competitive advantage. This will be achieved through an exploration of the key management practices and concepts that may be applied to improve supply chain performance.
Learning Outcomes:
On successful completion of this module the learner will be able to
  1. Evaluate the role of supply chain management in achieving strategic objectives and sustaining competitive advantage
  2. Assess key components and functions of supply chain management and their contribution to best in class supply chains
  3. Identify the main drivers of supply chain performance and how they may be measured and improved
  4. Design a supply chain for a particular business and context

Reassessment of this module will consist of a repeat examination. It is possible that there will also be a requirement to be reassessed in a coursework element.
Reassessment Description
In the case of a student gaining a Fail Grade in this module in the May exams, there will be no repeat continuous assessment; the Supplemental Exam will be worth 100%.
